Terms of use
Last updated July 26, 2026
together is operated by Aileron Software (Canada). By creating an account you agree to these terms. They are written to be read.
The service
together lets you keep a list of things you want to do and shows you where it overlaps with the lists of friends you have mutually connected with. It does not plan outings, send messages between people, or recommend anything. We may change or discontinue features; if we ever discontinue the service, we'll say so plainly on this site.
Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old to use together.
- You sign in with a Google or Apple account you own. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- You can delete your account at any time in Settings. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
Your list is visible to your circle
Everything on your list — items and the notes you attach — is visible to everyone you are connected with. Connections are mutual: both people tapped. Don't put anything on your list you wouldn't want your whole circle to read.
Acceptable use and objectionable content
The only free text in together is your display name, your photo, and the notes on your items. Don't use them to harass, threaten, impersonate, or demean anyone, and don't post content that is unlawful, hateful, sexually exploitative, or infringes someone else's rights. This applies even inside a private circle.
You can report a person or a specific note from inside the app, and block anyone — blocking removes all visibility in both directions and the blocked person is not told. Reports are reviewed by a human. Depending on what we find, we may remove content, warn the account, or remove the account. We don't promise a response time, but reports are read.
Content and licences
- Your notes and list are yours. You give us the licence needed to store them and show them to your circle — nothing more.
- Film and TV data comes from TMDB. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
- Book data comes from Open Library.
- Place data comes from Foursquare OS Places (Apache 2.0) and Overture Maps. Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors.
What the app will not do
For clarity, and because we mean it: together has no feed, no messaging, no algorithmic suggestions, no engagement streaks, and it will never notify you to come back. The one notification that exists is one you explicitly asked for on a specific item, and it fires once.
Liability
together is provided as-is, without warranty. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aileron Software is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service. What you and your friends do out in the world is — by design — entirely yours.
Changes
If these terms change materially we'll post the new version here with a new date. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept them.
