Delete your account
Last updated August 13, 2026
You can delete your together account and everything on it. Deletion is permanent: nothing is archived, there is no retention window, and there is no way for us to bring an account back once it is gone.
In the app — immediate
Open together, go to Settings → Delete account, and confirm. It happens straight away and needs nothing from us. If you can still sign in, this is the way to do it.
By request — if you can't get into the app
Lost the phone, uninstalled the app, or can't sign in any more? Ask us and a person will do it for you.
Or write to together@aileronsoftware.com yourself, with the email address on the account.
What happens next
- We reply to confirm the request really came from the account.
- Once confirmed, we delete the account. We complete verified requests within 30 days, and in practice much sooner.
- We'll tell you when it's done. We don't ask why, and we won't try to talk you out of it.
What gets deleted
- Your profile — name, photo, and the email address you signed in with.
- Your list: every item, the notes on them, check-offs, who you tagged, and your would-go-again answers.
- Your circle: connections, connect taps, invites you sent or redeemed, and blocks.
- Your push token, if you ever switched a notification on.
All of it is erased rather than flagged as deleted. Your friends' lists simply stop showing your rows — they are not told, and no trace of the connection is left behind.
What remains
Anonymised usage counts stay in our own analytics. They never contained your name, email, notes, item titles, or location — the app strips all of that on your device before anything is sent — and they are keyed to a one-way hash rather than your account. Once the account is deleted there is nothing left to tie them back to you. We may also be required to keep records of the deletion request itself.
Questions
Write to together@aileronsoftware.com. A person reads it. Our privacy policy covers what we collect while the account is open.
